Breast Reduction
This 46 year-old patient was experiencing considerable discomfort from her very large, heavy, breasts. She also had significant asymmetry and sagging of the breasts. Dr. Kirby performed an “anchor” or “inverted T” breast reduction with a free nipple graft, making incisions around the areola, vertically down to the breast crease, and along the inframammary fold to remove the excess breast tissue and skin, reducing the areola size, and moving the nipple/areola into a more lifted, natural position. The patient experienced immediate relief from her symptoms and is thrilled with the improved appearance and symmetry of her breasts, which went from a size 40 EE to a C cup.
