This 43 year-old patient had been bothered for years by her large breasts, which required her to wear a size 42 DDD bra. During her consultation with Dr. Kirby, she agreed that a breast reduction to a size D cup bra would help improve her comfort and achieve a breast size that was well-proportioned to her body. Dr. Kirby performed breast reduction using an “anchor” technique, making incisions around the areola, vertically down to the breast crease, and along the inframammary fold. She then removed excess breast tissue, fat and skin, reshaping the new, smaller breasts into a more lifted position. The patient is happy with her lighter, more aesthetically pleasing breasts, which now comfortably fit a 42 D bra.
