How Botox works
Botox Cosmetic is an FDA approved medication that is injected into facial muscles that are responsible for forming expression lines, such as lines between the eyebrows (frown lines or “elevens”), crow’s feet, and forehead lines. It works by blocking nerve impulses to the injected muscles, which reduces muscle activity and allows these lines to relax. Botox injections take about 15 to 20 minutes for our licensed, medically trained providers to perform.
