Dermaplaning + MicroPeel

Our “Dynamic Duo” Procedure for Beautiful Skin

You don’t have to choose between getting rid of specific facial wrinkles and improving your overall complexion! Our 2-step Dermaplaning + MicroPeel will cover all your bases for brighter, younger-looking skin.

While we offer a number of great procedures to improve skin health and appearance, this unique combination procedure is an excellent option for patients who are not quite ready for laser treatments or who are seeking the overall boost of a peel.

Benefits of a Dermaplaning+MicroPeel procedure:

  • Cost-effective alternative to laser treatments
  • Allows you to focus on specific skin flaws while giving your whole complexion a boost
  • Improves dullness & lessens fine lines and wrinkles for a more youthful appearance

Part 1: Dermaplaning to target problem spots

Dermaplaning is a mechanical skin resurfacing procedure (as opposed to chemical or laser resurfacing) in which a the blemished portion of skin in an area is removed very precisely, layer by layer. It is particularly effective at smoothing fine lines around the eyes and mouth, reducing acne scars and pock scars, and eliminating “peach fuzz” that can tend to dull the complexion.

A thin, bladed tool is applied to the area to carefully slough away top layers of skin until a satisfactory depth is reached to promote healing, with new collagen and elastin production, and promote regrowth of healthy, unblemished skin cells. Dermaplaning also helps to prep the skin for the upcoming MicroPeel, helping to optimize your results.

Part 2: MicroPeel for a boost in clarity & a balanced complexion

Next, a rejuvenating SkinCeuticals chemical peel is applied with the formula that is best suited to your skin type and goals. A MicroPeel helps to calm redness, reduce blotchiness, refine pores, and brighten a dull complexion as well as encourage new collagen production for smoother, firmer skin.

Recovery time after a MicroPeel is minimal, and the most common side effects are minor redness and sensitivity. Most patients return to normal activity after their treatment, although sunscreen is a must for several weeks after treatment.

How many treatments will I need?

While many patients notice improvement after just 1 or 2 treatments, dermaplaning + MicroPeel typically works best when given in a series of 4 to 6 treatments. Depending on your needs and your progress, some treatments may contain only the MicroPeel. Our aesthetician will guide you as to the most appropriate course of action for your needs.
